Hello!
I am Sara-Duana, a political ecologist, cultural producer, and educator. I work at the intersection of society, ecology, and culture with a keen interest in regenerative practices that drive systems-change.
Drawing from a diverse background, I have supported and directed socio-cultural, artistic, and educational projects in Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia for over a decade. More recently, I have focused on sustainable development and ecosystem restoration, mainly in Central America. I’m also a writer and editor, and regularly teach both within and outside academia on topics ranging from rural development to futures literacy.
Currently, I am particularly interested in the socio-cultural aspects of ecosystem restoration and conservation. I am always open to engaging in projects related to social-ecological systems (SES), regenerative agriculture and food systems, forest communities and conservation, and land management.
I also co-founded a digital archive for traditional & sustainable alternatives to single-use plastic (although this project has been dormant for some time).
