The project

ClimateSights was conceived as an artistic experiment to propose a dialogue between the arts, science, politics, and society. Besides the artwork, the project concentrated on artistic briefing and knowledge production by way of a two-month program which consisted of artistic research, a 10-day workshop in Munich in collaboration with experts, an exhibition, performances, a film screening, and a panel discussion. Artists from Central Asia, Bosnia, and Germany were invited to reflect on aspects of climate change, develop concrete future scenarios, alternative models and trendsetting artistic concepts that dealt with the causes and challenges of climate change in their particular surroundings. The project aimed at opening up an often single-disciplinary discourse and create a space for communication and processual thinking.

My responsibilities

My engagement with the project took place during the preparatory phase which consisted of drafting the conceptual framework, the call for proposals, texts for press material, website and outreach, and later the selection of the participants. I communicated with artists, participated in defining the scope of the collaboration between the project partners and was partly responsible for the budgeting.
