The project
An international group of artists, curators, urban planners, and photographers came together in a four-day seminar to collect and develop perspectives on the complex theme of “Art and the Public Sphere“. The workshop linked theoretical examples with practical experience and included talks, presentations, on-site visits and urban walks. The practice of temporary use, that makes a formerly private place a public one, and potential artistic intervention, were on the discussion agenda.
My responsibilities
I participated in the preparation and implementation of the project, helped to draft the program and to organize practicalities, communicated with and supported the participants in their needs, procured technical equipment, oversaw the space set-up, participated in the workshop and walks, and moderated events. I was also partly responsible for the budgeting and accounting, as well as the production of press material and documentation of the event.
